Washington’s Headquarters

During the Siege of Boston, Washington held quarters here at the Longfellow House. Today it is preserved in Cambridge, Mass. as it once was.

Henry W. Longfellow was a poet and helped create an American identity with his poem, "Paul Revere's Ride". He also wrote The Song of Hiawatha.
